Dixon Q. Dern, Entertainment Lawyer Who Helped Launch CAA, Dies at 97

Dixon Q. Dern, a veteran entertainment lawyer who helped get talent agency CAA off the ground, has died at the age of 97. He represented major clients including Bob Hope, Jackie Gleason and The Jackson 5, and worked for organisations such as Desilu, CBS and United Artists Television. Dern also worked with animation studio UPA during his long career.
