Zelensky fires Gen. Syrsky, appoints Drapatyi as new Ukraine army chief

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday dismissed Gen. Oleksandr Syrsky as commander-in-chief of Ukraine's armed forces following days of mass protests in Kyiv and other cities demanding his removal. Mykhailo Drapatyi was appointed as the new army chief, according to a statement published on social media.
