NSW invests $350m in new Aboriginal family preservation programme
The New South Wales government has launched a $350 million Aboriginal family preservation programme co-designed by First Nations families and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations. The initiative aims to reduce the overrepresentation of Indigenous children in out-of-home care through a holistic approach to child and family protection. The programme is intended to help children preserve their identities and "tell their own stories".
