NASK report: TikTok pushes pro-Beijing Xinjiang narrative in coordination with China

A report by Poland's NASK institute found that 59% of TikTok content tagged with "Xinjiang" carries a pro-Chinese message. This includes videos portraying the region as an attractive tourist destination and clips in which Uyghurs appear to present their lives positively and dismiss reports of persecution. NASK concludes that TikTok's algorithms are being manipulated in coordination with Beijing.
