Dixon Dern, Hollywood Entertainment Lawyer, Dead at 97

Dixon Q. Dern, a pioneering Hollywood entertainment lawyer, died on July 19 at the age of 97. Born in Colorado Springs, he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Stanford University. He moved to Los Angeles in the 1950s as television was rising to prominence, and went on to shape modern entertainment law through decades of innovative business deals.
