Wabash & Erie Canal Park in Delphi, Indiana Traces History of America's Longest Canal

The Wabash & Erie Canal Park and Museum in Delphi, Indiana, opened in 2004, tells the story of America's longest canal — 468 miles stretching from Toledo, Ohio, to Evansville on the Ohio River. Twelve interactive galleries trace the canal's construction and use, while the park grounds include an 1850s pioneer village active during canal season from mid-May to mid-September. Construction reached Delphi in 1840.
