Richard Johns, a pioneer of dental implantology in the UK, has died aged 96. In 1991, together with Swedish professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark, he founded the Dental Implant Institute in Sheffield — the first school in the UK to offer courses on implant techniques and treatment.
