France bans social media for under-15s — a first in the EU

France's National Assembly approved a ban on social media for children and teenagers under the age of 15, making France the first EU country to enact such a law. The measure is designed to protect minors from harmful online content. Lawyer and NGO Respect Zone founder Philippe Coen commented on the decision.
