Polish Energy Ministry Drops ETS Cost Disclosure from Electricity Bills

A draft tariff regulation from Poland's Ministry of Energy would exempt electricity suppliers from disclosing the share of EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) costs on customer bills. Presidential adviser Wanda Buk accuses Minister Motyka of deliberately removing this transparency requirement. Interia Biznes has asked the ministry to explain why the provision — which would have let households see how much ETS charges add to their electricity bills — is being dropped.
