The Lord of the Rings fans have a lot to look forward to in the next few years, but the first project up on the schedule is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power , which is finally returning for Season 3 on November 11. The Prime Video series aired its first season back in 2022, and after returning for Season 2 in 2024, Season 3 is set to close out the year as the biggest show on Prime Video — a new season every two years for a show this expensive isn’t a bad turnaround time. The fate of the show beyond Season 3 has yet to be officially decided, but it's likely Prime Video continues investing in this massive fantasy property , which is currently planned to run for five seasons.
