Nestlé to close Hungarian Smarties and KitKat factory after 60+ years

Nestlé plans to close its confectionery factory in Diósgyőr, Hungary, which has operated for over 60 years producing chocolate figures under the Smarties, KitKat and Milky Bar brands. The company cited declining demand as the reason for the closure. Nestlé is looking for a buyer to take over the plant.
