Queensland Government Buried Domestic Violence Survivors' Report Critical of Police

The Queensland Liberal National government has suppressed findings from its own working group of domestic violence victim-survivors, whose report harshly criticised police responses to family violence. The report called for a civilian oversight mechanism to handle complaints against police. The government had repeatedly pledged to "put victims at the heart" of justice policy, but chose not to release the findings.
