US community groups warn HIV prevention funding has lapsed
Community-based organisations providing HIV testing and prevention tools are pressing US federal health officials to renew a key funding programme that recently lapsed. Jeremiah Johnson, executive director of PrEP4All, warned that some community organisations "won't survive the cuts." Without renewal, expanded access to HIV preventive care — including PrEP — would be at risk, and some groups may be forced to close.
