Ukraine to receive licence to produce L119 lightweight howitzer

The United States has approved a licence allowing Ukraine to produce the L119 lightweight towed howitzer domestically, according to American media reports. The L119 is a NATO-standard artillery piece already used by several allied forces. The move will help Kyiv reduce its dependence on Western arms deliveries by boosting its own defence manufacturing capacity.
