Ukraine to manufacture BAE Systems howitzers domestically under new deal

Ukraine has agreed to domestically produce howitzers designed by British defence company BAE Systems, according to the Wall Street Journal. Kyiv also wants to manufacture other Western weapons locally, including ammunition for the Patriot air-defence system. The BAE Systems deal is intended to serve as a template for broader cooperation with Western arms manufacturers.
