Polish public health fund runs dry in July, doctors alarmed
Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) is running out of money faster than in previous years, with patients being turned away as early as July. NIL spokesperson Jakub Kosikowski says patient records already contain notes directing them to seek care elsewhere or contact the NFZ directly. Activist Dorota Korycińska warns the crisis affects not only patients but triggers a cascade of problems across the entire healthcare system.
