France Set to Ban Under-15s from Social Media with New Law

French lawmakers are expected to pass a bill on 21 July banning children under 15 from accessing social media platforms. France would follow Australia, where the world's first such ban — covering under-16s on Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube — came into force in December. The move reflects growing concerns about the impact of social media on the health and safety of minors.
