New quantum gravity theory links entropy, dark energy, and the emergence of life
Mathematician Ginestra Bianconi has proposed a quantum gravity framework called "Gravity from Entropy" that may explain how the Universe grows more complex without violating the second law of thermodynamics. The theory suggests that total cosmic entropy rises as space expands, while entropy within each unit of volume falls — a local decline that could allow galaxies, stars, planets, and life to form.
