Nawrocki vetoes "nearest person" bill — spokesman blames minister Kotula

President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the "nearest person" bill, which would have granted rights to partners in informal relationships. Presidential spokesman Rafał Leśkiewicz said the bill attempted to "break a certain constitutional order." He also criticised Minister Katarzyna Kotula, saying she failed to produce a sensible draft law on the matter in two and a half years.
