Pep Guardiola held talks with Italy over national team manager role

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport, new Italian Football Federation technical director Paolo Maldini and his adviser Leonardo met Pep Guardiola in Barcelona over the weekend. The talks reportedly concerned Guardiola taking charge of the Italian national team. Hiring the Spanish manager would be one of the biggest coups in Italian football history.
