Health inspectors recall ham contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes

Poland's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has issued a warning about a batch of ham found to contain the dangerous bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. The product is being pulled from shelves at a major retail chain. Listeria poses a particularly serious risk to pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
