A developer from Obsidian Entertainment, makers of Fallout: New Vegas, pointed out years ago that Bethesda's Creation Engine has a key advantage: it enables vast open worlds with deep modding support that other engines don't match. This explains why Bethesda continues to use it for The Elder Scrolls VI and Fallout 5 despite its well-known bugs.
