Wildfires Burn Two First Nations Communities in Ontario to the Ground
Fast-moving wildfires have burned two First Nations communities in Ontario to the ground, with residents saying they were forced to self-evacuate without government assistance or emergency alerts, despite being told there was no imminent threat. A total of thirteen communities in Ontario have been ordered to evacuate, most of them First Nations. Premier Doug Ford confirmed that nearly 2,000 people have been evacuated so far to cities including Toronto and Niagara Falls.
