Deputy prosecutor in Lubliniec dismissed after drunk driver released without supervision

Poland's National Prosecutor has dismissed the deputy head of the District Prosecutor's Office in Lubliniec after a prosecutor there released a drunk driver without any supervision following an incident on the A1 motorway. The man was caught with 2.7 per mille of alcohol in his breath, already had two driving bans on record, and had attempted to swap seats with his passenger. He was initially detained by prosecution employees acting as citizens.

Was it right to dismiss the prosecutor for releasing the drunk driver without supervision?
