Matthias Schweighöfer joins 'The Conjuring' prequel about young Warrens
German actor Matthias Schweighöfer, known for "Army of Thieves" and "Oppenheimer," has joined the cast of "The Conjuring: First Communion," a New Line Cinema prequel to the horror franchise. Garrett Wareing and Amanda Fix will play young versions of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, previously portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. Schweighöfer's role and plot details have not yet been disclosed.
