WIG index surges over 1.1%, eyes record closing high on Tuesday

Poland's broad market WIG index rose more than 1.1% in the first half of Tuesday's trading session, putting it within reach of a record closing high. The strong performance on the Warsaw Stock Exchange opened the possibility of a historic end-of-day result.
