Cosworth explains why the Red Bull RB17 hypercar had to have a V10 engine

Bruce Wood, Managing Director of Cosworth, has explained why the company chose a V10 engine for the Red Bull RB17 hypercar. According to Wood, the ten-cylinder configuration was the only powertrain that met the character and performance requirements set for the car. The RB17 is Red Bull's first-ever hypercar.
