Camera bans in sport won't cure sexism — it's a cultural problem, not a technical one
The European Broadcasting Union has published guidelines instructing directors on how to film female athletes to avoid sexualising them. The opinion piece argues that the real problem is not camera angles but society's deeply ingrained tendency to objectify women in sport. Technical rules cannot substitute for the cultural shift needed to recognise athletes' bodies as symbols of strength and hard work rather than objects of desire.
