Poland among EU leaders in fastest-growing public debt-to-GDP ratio

According to Eurostat data published on Tuesday, Poland ranked among EU countries with the fastest-growing public debt-to-GDP ratio at the end of the first quarter of 2026. The sharpest falls in the debt ratio were recorded in Greece, Cyprus and Slovenia. The figures raise concerns about the stability of Polish public finances.
