Kalisz to be an hour closer to Poznań and Warsaw via new high-speed rail line

Work is progressing on the Sieradz–Kalisz–Pleszew–Poznań section of Poland's high-speed rail programme, known as Port Polska. Once completed, travel times from Kalisz to both Poznań and Warsaw will be cut by one hour. Kalisz is set to be among the biggest beneficiaries of the Y-line high-speed rail investment.
