Over 49,000 applications filed to hire unqualified teachers in Poland

In mid-July, more than 20,000 teacher vacancies were listed in Poland's official job bank. School principals submitted over 49,000 applications to regional education authorities for permission to hire teachers without the required qualifications. The data, obtained by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, highlights a severe and widespread shortage of qualified teaching staff across the country.
