No CGI Giants in Nolan's The Odyssey – Damon Explains the Forced Perspective Trick

In Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, the attack by the Laestrygonian giants – shown as roughly four times the height of Odysseus – was achieved without CGI. Matt Damon explained the effect was created using forced perspective camera angles and stuntmen of vastly different heights. It is one of many practical effects techniques Nolan has long favoured over digital alternatives.
