Algorithms favour pro-China content, NASK research finds

Research by Poland's NASK institute found that on topics deemed politically sensitive by Beijing, recommendation algorithms more often surface content favourable to China or unrelated material, rather than independent reporting. The pattern affects major online platforms and may be distorting how Polish internet users perceive China. NASK warns of a systematic risk to public debate.
