TK Judge-Elect Patyra Asks President Duda Again to Set Oath Date
Prof. Sławomir Patyra, elected by the Sejm on 11 June as a Constitutional Tribunal judge, has sent a second letter to President Andrzej Duda requesting that an oath ceremony date be set, after his first letter went unanswered. Patyra stressed that as a judge-elect he has duties to the state and citizens that he wishes to begin fulfilling. The standoff is part of the broader ongoing dispute between the president and parliament over the composition of the Constitutional Tribunal.
