Cancer patient told to wait until 2027 for treatment — NFZ chief pledges immediate help

NFZ chief Filip Nowak promised immediate assistance after Rzeczpospolita reported that cancer patients at a Łódź hospital were being turned away or given treatment dates as late as 2027. One of the patients — who had been told to wait until 2027 — has already been secured a place in treatment. The case has highlighted serious systemic gaps in access to oncology care in Poland.
