Russia moves to seize assets of emigrant critics convicted under Kremlin laws

A bill has been submitted to Russia's State Duma that would strip emigrant Russians — convicted under laws used to silence dissent — of banking access, property management rights and control over their assets. The measure targets those who left Russia after the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. It represents an escalation of Kremlin efforts to punish critics living abroad.
