Poland's new investment accounts may tax investors even on a loss, Senate warns
Poland's proposed Personal Investment Accounts (OKI) are designed to exempt investors from the so-called Belka tax and encourage long-term saving. However, the Senate has flagged a controversial provision under which some investors could owe tax even when their investments have lost money. Senate experts are demanding further clarification from the government before the legislation is enacted.
