Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa retired injured during the WTA 250 final in Iași, trailing Egypt's Mayar Sherif 4–6, 0–4. The withdrawal ended a nine-match winning streak for the Spaniard, who has been repeatedly troubled by health issues throughout her career. The title went to Sherif by default.
