40,000 insurance frauds detected in Poland in 2025, worth nearly 800 million zloty

Polish insurers uncovered 40,000 cases of insurance fraud in 2025, a 24% rise year-on-year. The total value of the fraud exceeded 798 million zloty, up 18% compared to 2024. The most common schemes included staging minor car accidents and faking deaths to claim payouts.
