EU Bans Destruction of Unsold Clothing — Rule in Force Since 19 July

An EU ban on destroying unsold clothing and footwear came into force on 19 July 2026. Major fashion brands are no longer allowed to dump or incinerate new, unsold products. The rules are designed to end the widespread practice of mass disposal of goods by the fashion industry.
