Polish schools in staffing crisis: 49,000 requests to hire unqualified teachers
Over 20,000 teacher job vacancies were listed in mid-July, while school principals submitted more than 49,000 requests to hire staff without the required qualifications, according to data from regional education authorities obtained by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The staffing crisis is most severe in specific regions of Poland. The scale of the problem reflects a deepening shortage of qualified teaching staff.
