PC Booted on 192 AA Batteries Instead of a Power Supply – And It Worked

A creator known as Uwoslab built a bank of 192 standard AA batteries to replace a conventional ATX power supply in a desktop PC. The machine booted successfully, passed stress tests and even ran the game FreeDoom on the cult Linux Hannah Montana distribution. What sounded like a recipe for disaster turned out to be a complete success.
