EU reforms ETS: slower tightening, but less budget flexibility for Poland

The European Commission has proposed a reform of the EU ETS emissions trading system that partially incorporates Polish demands. Expert Bartłomiej Orzeł from Project Tempo says the squeeze will continue, just at a slower pace. Michał Stajniak of XTB warns the reform will restrict governments' freedom to spend auction revenues, which is especially damaging for the Polish budget.
