Lebanese return to 'pilot zone' villages as Israel hands over occupied areas

Under a US-brokered plan, Israel is handing over control of some areas it occupies in southern Lebanon to the Lebanese government, allowing residents to return to villages in so-called "pilot zones." Returning inhabitants say Israeli forces never fully withdrew. The handover is part of a broader process to normalise the situation in southern Lebanon.
