US condemns China's 'dangerous and aggressive' acts after Filipino sailor injured at disputed shoal

The United States condemned China's "dangerous and aggressive" behaviour after a Philippine sailor was injured at a disputed shoal in the South China Sea. The incident occurred ahead of Secretary of State Marco Rubio's expected visit to Manila for a Southeast Asian foreign ministers' meeting, where Chinese diplomat Wang Yi is also set to attend.
