NCIS Makes Its First-Ever Character Recast in 31 Years

CBS is gearing up for a big fall season . Coming off another successful year, the Eye Network will introduce three new shows to its primetime slate in October, all of which hail from some of its proven winners. That includes Cupertino , from Elsbeth and The Good Wife creators Michelle and Robert King , and the vampire comedy Eternally Yours , from Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman . Last but not least, however, is NCIS: New York , which will formally welcome LL COOL J 's Sam Hanna back into the procedural franchise's fold. It also comes at a time when the wider NCIS world has experienced one exciting development after another, from Mark Harmon returning for a season-long arc in NCIS: Origins to Michael Weatherly stepping back into the flagship's office .
