Rimini's Domus del Chirurgo: 2,000 Years of History in an Archaeological Park

The Domus del Chirurgo (Surgeon's House) in Rimini is an archaeological park covering over 700 m², tracing 2,000 years of the city's history from Roman times to the Middle Ages. The site is named after its last owner, a physician identified by more than 150 surgical instruments found in the ruins. The house was destroyed by fire in the mid-3rd century, likely during early barbarian raids, but preserved mosaics, plasterwork and furnishings still offer a vivid picture of ancient life.
