YouTube has announced a crackdown on what it calls "off-putting content" and low-quality AI-generated videos, often referred to as AI slop. The platform aims to reduce the flood of algorithmically mass-produced content with little value to viewers. Users are calling on YouTube to also address AI-generated thumbnails next.
