Mrzygłód beats Olympic champion Nadeem on comeback after 10-month injury layoff
Polish javelin thrower Cyprian Mrzygłód returned to competition after a ten-month absence caused by double surgery on his ankle and knee, winning a meet in Lucerne by beating Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem. Despite the encouraging comeback, Mrzygłód announced he is ending his 2025 season early and taking on a new professional challenge outside athletics. His long-term goals remain the 2028 Olympics and the World Championships in Beijing.
