Marilla Country Store in Marilla, New York, has been open continuously since 1851, surviving the Civil War, two World Wars, the Great Depression and a global pandemic. Three families have owned it over the years, with the current owners taking over in 1979. The store still operates as a working general store and houses a dented 1917 safe, 25 years of community guestbooks, and locally made specialty foods alongside hardware.
